We recognize that environmental and human health are two sides of the same coin. One cannot flourish without the well-being of the other. We, at the Straubel Foundation, are eager to support both.

We invited people to share their stories and apply for a Straubel Emergency Relief Grant. Scholars, entrepreneurs, students, and parents from all walks of life answered our call.

Today, less than 10% of plastic packaging gets recycled worldwide. The remaining 90% is sent to landfills, incinerators, and oceans. Let’s upcycle all garbage, one molecule at a time.

We, at the Straubel Foundation, care about accelerating the transition to a more environmentally sustainable future through science, education, and impact investing. But foremost, we care about people.

When I applied for the Straubel Award in 2018, Project Invent was just an idea. Now, one year later, Project Invent is in 30 schools across 14 states.

Our annual Leadership Awards recognize the best in achievement and leadership potential, and are one of the concrete ways we seek to assist young leaders and scholars in STEM, Environmental and Societal Sustainability and leadership itself. The Straubel Foundation strives to alleviate the effects of e-commerce on the environment by investing in LimeLoop, a company reinventing the way goods are sent and received.

I recently spent a busy day in New York, serving as a judge of the 2018 Echoing Green Fellowship finalist round. 64 inspiring finalists spent the day sharing their passion and ideas for achieving their vision.

We are proud to announce our inaugural investment into Roots Studio, a startup forging technology-enabled dialogue between distant cultures and markets, effectively designing a more prosperous de-centralized society.
